As Chief Medical & Innovation Officer, Alex will be leading the development of NEV’s tech-enabled platform to streamline growth for our clients. Additionally, Alex will be building out the payer and provider talent pool of advisors as the company continues to expand their services beyond life sciences and pharmacy.
Formerly, Alex was the National Medical Director for Care Transformation and Institutional Affordability at Optum, helping develop strategies for and implementing facility-based affordability initiatives throughout the enterprise. He helped lead the rollout of national ADT-enabled care transformation initiatives for both Affordability and Quality and developed a comprehensive real-time ED-engagement strategy to support value-based partnerships.
Dr. Mohseni joined Optum in April 2021, having previously been the Chief Innovation Officer of a large multi-specialty medical group where he developed and led programs focused on achieving the quadruple aim. He has also done extensive work in building national-scale value-based telemedicine programs and Remote Patient Monitoring initiatives. Dr. Mohseni earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland, completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, worked 11 years as a front-line ED physician, and is licensed in all 51 jurisdictions.
