Cathy DuRei is a health services and medication ecosystem expert who has driven patient-centric efficiencies in the US for 25+ years. With expertise in hubs, fintech services, health information exchange, EHRs, real-time benefit check, ePA, eBI, Rx adherence, gaps in care messaging, specialty patient support services, pharma brands, pharmacy & health system opportunities, Cathy spent much of her career analyzing opportunities then launching new ventures. These initiatives led cross-industry stakeholders to leverage data within systems for solutions that solve key medical, medication and administrative challenges. She enjoys fostering B to B partnering, and has done so with the likes of FDA, PhRMA, NPC, Microsoft, IBM, Avon, AphA, NCPA, CVS, Walgreens, Surescripts, McKesson, Pfizer, Merck, GSK, AbbVie & many others.
Cathy’s leadership experience at a boutique Wall Street firm, combined with product development and new venture work at Anthem, Kaiser Permanente and with other pharmacies & payer groups, then layered with an EHR data & tech automation lense, all lend a unique aspect to her advisory services. Prior to becoming an advisor, key life science experiences include 16+ years as an internal Pfizer champion of award-winning, C-Suite new venture development and brand platform programs, and 2 years as a Senior Vice President leading strategic innovation for ConnectiveRx. Cathy also serves as the Treasurer & Board member of a global arts nonprofit, is a recent Program Adviser for the Columbia University Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, and is a Breakthrough One Affiliate of HITLAB in New York.
Cathy has her MBA from The Wharton School, BA from Dartmouth, and a mid-career certificate from Columbia University’s DBMI. An enthusiast around lifetime learning, she also completed a Wharton tech corridor “AI for Business” class in March of 2022.
