With a lifelong career in healthcare, Dan Exley has established himself as a trusted advisor and industry leader. His recent tenure as Sharp HealthCare’s Interim Chief Information & Innovation Officer (May 2024-September 2025) built upon his successful track record as Vice President of Clinical Systems, where he led the Epic clinical implementation to Gold Stars Level 10 and full Good Install. When the pandemic struck, Dan’s leadership of Sharp’s analytics and data science practice proved instrumental in delivering critical insights for operational decisions. Beyond his consulting work, Dan shapes future healthcare leaders through teaching appointments at leading universities including USC, CSUF, and most recently as faculty at The University of Chicago. He holds an MS in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University, is a Fellow of The Advisory Board, and is an AMIA Certified Health Informatics Professional.
