Dave Benson is a Life Science Executive with over 35 years of experience in Large Pharma, CROs, CCOs, and the FDA. He specializes in leading teams and driving digital transformation within healthcare and life science organizations. He was recognized as an Ignite 2025 Powerful Leaders Igniting Digital Transformation awarded by GovTech Connects and he serves on the Gartner Enterprise Architecture Advisory Board as an Emeritus Board Member.
Most recently, Dave was the Acting Director of Enterprise Architecture at the U.S. FDA, where he consolidated HRIT business processes, developed architecture standards, and represented FDA on the HHS HRIT Tiger Team. His responsibility included oversight for contract resources supporting agency-wide architecture initiatives.
Previously, Dave was the Customer Engagement Director at Tata Consultancy Services, leading digital transformation for pharma clients and positioning TCS as a category leader. He founded One Blue Wave Consulting, providing strategic consulting to optimize business operations in life sciences and healthcare. At Syneos Health, he directed global commercial technology services, led strategic IT project prioritization and engaged clients aligning clinical technology solutions to clinical trial strategic needs.
Dave holds a B.S. in General Science and Computer Science from Grace College and has pursued post-baccalaureate studies in Biological Science at the University of Akron. He is also a founding board member and chair of the Raleigh Community Orchestra.
