Hughes Bakewell, a seasoned healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience, possesses a unique blend of consumer-centric acumen and entrepreneurial drive. He has a proven track record of building and scaling successful businesses within both established corporations and dynamic startups.
Hughes began his career in consumer marketing with industry giants Pepsico and Hallmark Cards. He subsequently started and grew several successful companies in the marketing communications, internet, and healthcare sectors.
For the past decade, Hughes held key leadership roles at Quest Diagnostics, including COO of their Health and Wellness division and General Manager of a strategic joint venture with Walmart. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Quest’s Retail Division, where he spearheaded partnerships with major drugstore chains to expand direct-to-consumer diagnostic and healthcare services.
Hughes holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
