Karim is an accomplished healthcare executive with 20-years of extensive leadership experience transforming various healthcare, managed care & pharmacy businesses. Karim has built a track record of driving long-term shareholder return growth and producing game-changing results across various sectors (Pharmacy, Health Plans, Health & Wellness, Provider, Digital Health and Healthcare services) through strategy development, execution of core and new growth efforts, cost reduction, operational improvement, and differentiated customer experiences. He is a global leader who has successfully delivered performance upgrades across 3 continents, assembled high-performing teams and successfully drove core operational improvements and built innovation capabilities to define and launch new growth businesses.
Most recently, Karim has led all the transformation efforts for Walmart Pharmacy, including a large-scale operational reboot and a technology-enabled reinvention. Karim and his team modernized the strategic assets of Walmart Pharmacy (pricing, inventory, central fill) and rebooted the operating model of the Specialty pharmacy business. He was also a member of the team that defined and executed the “supercenter of healthcare” strategy.
Prior to joining Walmart, Karim held various roles at Monitor Deloitte leading end-to-end transformations across various healthcare verticals. His work ranged from helping various healthcare clients capture organic and inorganic growth, driving turnaround or merger integration efforts and driving key operational improvements for various healthcare businesses.
Karim received his MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management; his Master of Public Administration at Harvard University, his Master of Applied Finance from Pepperdine University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris, France.
