Sandeep Pulim, MD, stands at the forefront of healthcare innovation, blending his medical
expertise with a passion for technology-driven solutions to address complex healthcare challenges.
As a seasoned physician and social-impact entrepreneur, Dr. Pulim has dedicated his career to
transforming patient care through innovative technology and strategic partnerships. Dr. Pulim is an
angle investor and currently serves on advisory boards of several health care startups and is
currently a member of the AgeTech Committee at The National Investment Center for Seniors
Housing & Care (NIC), a 501(c)(3) organization that works to enable access and choice by providing
data, analytics, and connections that bring together investors and providers.
Most recently, Dr. Pulim served as the Medical Director and VP of Clinical Strategy & Partnerships at
Biofourmis. In this pivotal role, he was instrumental in developing and scaling acute hospital-at-home
programs, alongside remote post-acute and chronic disease management solutions for health
systems and plans. His efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing patient care delivery and
outcomes.
Before his tenure at Biofourmis, Dr. Pulim was the Chief Medical Officer at Bluestream Health, which
was later acquired by eVisit. Here, he led technology and product development, establishing virtual
clinical workflows for large health systems and virtual care delivery partners. His work was crucial in
advancing virtual care technologies and making healthcare more accessible.
As the Chief Innovation Officer at Medici, Dr. Pulim played a key role in expanding asynchronous
telehealth programs for Medicaid, Medicare, and Direct Primary Care (DPC) patients, further
demonstrating his commitment to leveraging technology to improve patient care across various
populations.
Dr. Pulim’s contributions to healthcare innovation extend to his time at @Point of Care (acquired by
Kaplan), where he focused on enabling cognitive clinical decision-making technology at the point of
care in partnership with IBM/Watson Health. This work supported healthcare providers and patients
in enhancing clinical learning and quality measures for healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical
companies, and payers.
In the early stages of his entrepreneurial journey, as Co-founder and CMO of Health Recovery
Solutions, Dr. Pulim developed evidence-based interventions to prevent CHF readmissions,
empowering patients to manage their health using remote patient monitoring technology to
effectively improve their quality of life.
Dr. Pulim’s foundation in healthcare innovation was laid during his time as Senior Medical Editor at
MDLinx, where his participation in his first healthcare hackathon sparked his interest in healthcare
technology. Additionally, through his involvement with Health for America, he has supported
sustainable healthcare innovation by enabling fellows to create technology solutions that deliver
transformational impacts and nurture the next generation of leaders.
