Steven Jennings is a passionate and collaborative leader with nearly three decades of experience driving purposeful, people-centered change at Ahold Delhaize USA. In his current role leading Health Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement, Steven leads with heart and strategy—empowering partnerships that expand access to healthy food, foster stronger community relationships, and shape the public narrative around health and sustainability in retail.
Steven is at the forefront of Ahold Delhaize USA’s innovative Healthy Benefits Card program, unlocking hundreds of millions of dollars in funding to help customers access affordable, nutritious foods. He plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of health-focused retail by working across federal, private, and NGO sectors to drive lasting value for customers and stakeholders alike. With a sharp eye on growth and an open ear to diverse perspectives, Steven orchestrates cross-functional collaboration between leaders in pharmacy, IT, product, and communications to bring bold ideas to life and measurable impact to communities.
As the primary external face for Health & Sustainability stakeholder engagement, Steven cultivates strategic alliances with NGOs, universities, and key partners, ensuring ADUSA’s voice is present and powerful in the industry’s most important conversations. Whether championing campaigns that elevate brand reputation or managing emerging issues with clarity and care, Steven brings authenticity, empathy, and a forward-looking vision to everything he does.
Outside of work, Steven’s commitment to the community is unwavering. A Certified Mentor with the American Transplant Foundation and a Volunteer Ambassador for the Gift of Life Program, he donated a kidney to a co-worker in 2012 and continues to inspire others through his advocacy for organ donation and living donor awareness across the Mid-Atlantic region.
